How can I earn miles?

You can collect miles on all Eurowings scheduled flights as well as Lufthansa's worldwide partner network, this includes 14 Star Alliance partners and 13 regional airline partners. It is not just by flying that you can collect miles - a network of partners (hotels, car hire companies, German railways, telephone companies, financial service companies and many more) gives you plenty of opportunity to increase your Miles and More balance even when you are on the ground.

  
How many miles will I get from Eurowings flights?

As a Miles & More member you will receive up to 1,000 miles on Eurowings scheduled flights in economy class and 2,000 miles in business class.

  
At which mileage will I be able to take advantage of a bonus?
After just 10.000 bonus miles you will receive an upgrade voucher for a Lufthansa or Eurowings flight within Europe.
  
How can I spend my miles?

Lufthansa Miles & More offers flight bonuses all over the world. You can for instance get a bonus flight to Italy in Eurowings or Lufthansa Economy Class with 30,000 miles. As well as flight bonuses you can also choose from a number of interesting fantasy travel and gift products. If you decide on gifts then you can choose from the exclusive selection of fine liqueurs, suitcases, watches and beautiful accessories in the Lufthansa Sky Shop. Am I the only person who can redeem my miles or can members of my family or friends also enjoy an award ticket?

Members of your family (spouse, children under 27) or a partner living with you can also use awards. Friends and family can also use these if they travel with you.

  
What are award miles?

Award miles are the miles that you can swap for an award. These are the distance, or minimum mileage plus the Business Class or First Class bonus for Lufthansa, Eurowings and the other Miles & More partner airlines, as well as the miles that you have received from hotel and car hire partners.

  
What are status miles?

Status miles are the miles you collect in order to become a Frequent Traveller or Senator Card holder. This includes all the miles you have collected on flights with Lufthansa or Eurowings flight numbers and Star Alliance partners within the last 12 calendar months. For status miles the distance or minimum miles plus the Business Class Bonus is calculated.

  
How can I achieve the status of a Frequent Traveller or Senator?

You will receive the Frequent Traveller Card once you have collected 50,000 status miles* in the last 12 calendar months, or when you have flown 20 Business Class routes (40 in Economy Class). Clients receive the Senator Card once they have collected 150.000 Status miles** in the last 12 calendar months, or alternatively flown 60 routes in Business Class (120 Flights in Economy Class) with  Eurowings, Lufthansa, or the Star Alliance Partners.

What benefits can I enjoy when I have reached this status?

You will be given preferential treatment on waiting lists and guaranteed bookings*. Before departure you can take advantage of comfortable lounges, you will also have priority check-in, allowing you to take more luggage, and the priority baggage service will also be at your disposal. The 25% Executive Bonus is an especially attractive status advantage – allowing you to collect more miles on Eurowings, Lufthansa and Star Alliance partners. As a Senator card holder you can allow others to use your award flights for personal flights and you are given an overdraft of 160,000 miles. As long as you retain your status (Frequent Traveller or Senator) your award miles are valid indefinitely.

  
What is meant by „minimum miles"?

You can collect minimum miles on the shorter routes, such as Eurowings flights. For example, on a Eurowings flight from Dortmund to Munich  you would be credited with 1,000 minimum miles in economy class and 2,000 minimum miles in business class instead of the actual distance in miles.

  
What is meant by "Event Awards"?

Alongside the flight awards you are also entitled to unusual Fantasy Awards, with Miles & More. You can choose between activity or adventure, e.g. a flight in the Ju 52, a hot-air balloon flight or a turn on the simulator - each is a special event. You can apply for these by telephone (Lufthansa Miles & More Tel. +49 (0)5241 | 99 91 11, Mondays – Saturdays between 7am  and 10pm) or in writing (Lufthansa Miles & More, Postfach 1200, D-33409 Verl).

  
Can I transfer my miles to someone else's Miles & More account?

Within the next 12 months you should send the original Boarding card, plus the relevant copy of the ticket to Lufthansa Miles & More, Postfach 1200, D-33409 Verl to be credited to your account.

  
The miles from my last hotel stay/car hire have not yet been credited to my account, what should I do?

It does take a little longer for transactions with our partners to be credited. Please keep your hotel or car hire receipts until they appear on your statement.

How often will I receive a statement of my account?

You will automatically receive a quarterly statement by post, on condition that there have been some transactions and you have not already obtained a print-out.

If you have chosen the online alternative, you can easily access your account via the Service Centre at www.eurowings.com. In this case you will no longer receive statements by post.

  
Where can I find more information about the whole Miles & More scheme?

Lufthansa's Miles & More communicates regularly with clients. Any changes in the account balance are notified, and standard clients receive a quarterly newsletter about the scheme, the partners and activities. Status clients (Frequent Traveller and Lufthansa Senators) receive the monthly Lufthansa Exclusive to keep them informed. Every Miles & More client can use Lufthansa’s online services.
