What should I do if on arrival my checked baggage is damaged?
If an item of baggage is damaged it is very important that you go to the Lost and Found Office at the arrival airport to report this. If you do not discover the damage until you are at home, it is essential that you put this in writing to us immediately. Please call our service number +49 (0)180 - 387 69 46 and our staff will give you the correct address for the relevant office.
An immediate report of damage in writing serves as proof that the damage occurred while travelling with Eurowings. Legally you have 7 days after an international flight in which to report the damage, and 3 months in the case of a German domestic flight. After this period we accept no liability. However, if you do not report the damage to us immediately, but within the legally binding period, we also need proof that the damage occurred at Eurowings. Please read our Conditions of Carriage for more about this.

What are the formalities for unaccompanied children travelling with your airline?
At the time of booking the request to accept an unaccompanied child for a flight has to be made to our call centre. The request is then eventually either confirmed or rejected. A rejection can occur if the maximum number of unaccompanied children allowed on board a certain type of aircraft has already been reached. The most important part of the booking is the contact information for the person accompanying the child to the departure airport (name, address, telephone number) as well as the person collecting the child at the arrival airport.
At check-in a form has to be completed, once again giving the details (name, address and telephone) of the person accompanying the child to departure as well as the person collecting on arrival. The member of ground staff responsible for the child will only hand the child over to the person (or persons) on the form, and only when suitable identification has been shown.
