 December 2007 | Winner of a Skyliner Award 2007

Eurowings achieves a very creditable 14th place out of 77 airlines.

In this year's Manchester Skyliner Awards Eurowings was awarded 14th place among 77 airlines. Thomas Link and Josef Thofondern of Eurowings OPS Control and Patrick Berrens from Eurowings Flight Operations (to the right on the photo) were present to receive the award.

The Skyliner Awards are given out annually to airlines which operate at least 95 percent of their annual departures on "preferred noise routes". Thanks to the professional work of their crews, Eurowings' percentage over the period used to calculate the award was 99.5 percent.

Manchester Airport is working closely with local residents and airlines which use the airport in order to improve environmental protection. The objective is to reduce air and noise pollution. With 22 million passengers per year Manchester is the largest regional airport in England. In summer 2007 there were flights to a total of 225 destinations from the airport.
