The charter office of EW and Lufthansa CityLine
The charter office is a cooperation of Eurowings with Lufthansa CityLine. The cooperation between EW & CLH is agreed in a cooperation contract. Augsburg Airways and Contact Air are linked to the charter office under an agency agreement.
The charter office is responsible for chartering out unused capacity of the fleets of EW (and 4U), CLH, IQ, and KI. The office is staffed by a committed team of competent experts from Eurowings Luftverkehrs AG and Lufthansa CityLine and as such has extensive experience both in ac-hoc charter and tourist charter.
The core business of all regional partners is the scheduled flights business. This means that the planes should be in the air most of the time. Even the most optimal plan cannot avoid what we call "operational ground time". This is the time (hours/days) which the charter office offers and sells provided a crew is available.
International Air Transport AssociationThe International Air Transport Association (IATA) was founded as the umbrella organization of airlines in April 1945. The registered office of the Association is in Montreal, Canada. The purpose of IATA is the promotion of safe, planned and economic transport of people and goods as well as the promotion of cooperation among all companies participating in international air transportation services.
Today, IATA has a membership of about 285 airlines which operate almost 94 % of all international flights. The members of IATA include large or national aviation companies operating international and intercontinental flights. Airports, aviation authorities, travel agents, suppliers and ground operation companies as well as industrial firms are also among the members of IATA.
The German headquarters of IATA are in Frankfurt am Main.

Federal Association of German AirlinesThe Federal Association of German Airlines (BDF) was formed as Working Group of German Aviation Companies (ADL) in 1976 and renamed Federal Association of German Airlines (BDF) in July 2006. The Association represents nearly all German airlines.
The nine members (Air Berlin, Condor, Eurowings, Germania, Germanwings, Hamburg International, Cirrus, Lufthansa, and TUIfly) operate scheduled, chartered and low-cost flights.
The BDF represents the German airline companies in relations with airports, politics, industry and the authorities in Germany. On European level, is brings its weight to bear through the European airline associations AEA, IACA, and ERA and through the German representatives also in the European bodies. Among the large number of subjects relating to aviation, the BDF focuses on the three items: airports, safety and environment. The BDF office is in Berlin.
wünschdirwas Foundation The ‚Wünsch dir was’ Foundation is a registered non-profit making society which makes the innermost yearnings of seriously ill children come true. A large number of voluntary helpers supports the work of the society in all of Germany. They visit children in hospitals and clinics.
Eurowings supports the society as sponsor and fulfilled the desire of Sina, who suffers from cancer, by showing her the check-in and clearance operations at Düsseldorf airport. She was even allowed to sit in the cockpit of a Eurowings jet and had all her questions about planes and flying answered before she went on a holiday flight for the first time a few days.
