General description

The Germanwings GmbH (“Germanwings”) and Eurowings GmbH (“Eurowings”) corporate offer "Dynamic Flex" is addressed to all companies and affiliates/subsidiaries of company groups that focus on best-buy in their travel guidelines. 

In this respect, the option of participating on “Dynamic Flex” is already offered for eligible participants (according to Art 1) with an annual turnover of at least €15,000. 

The corporate tariffs "Dynamic Flex SMART" and "Dynamic Flex BEST" are aligned, in amount  and its product components, in each case to the most up-to-the-minute publicly available fares online. Additionally “Dynamic Flex” offers changes to bookings and cancellation options. 

In addition, upgrades to Premium conditions (see special conditions under "Premium") can be made if an annual turnover of €400,000 is reached. Premium customers will receive even better conditions and will have access to our VIP hotline. Once you have reached the Premium status, this status will remain unattached for at least one year. 

Participation under "Dynamic Flex" commences upon acceptance of these Dynamic Flex Terms & Conditions by the participant (“Participating Company”). 

Germanwings and Eurowings will not charge any extra fees for the participation in "Dynamic Flex".

  • Eligibility for "Dynamic Flex" extends to all undertakings (sole traders, partnerships and corporations, legal entities, liberal professions – eg law or tax-consultant offices, doctors' practices, architects' offices, consultancies, engineering offices, etc) and their governing bodies and staff who, within the scope of their commercial or free-lance activity, generate an annual turnover of at least €15,000 with Germanwings and/or Eurowings

    in the way of carriage services (on this, see 3.). Not eligible are undertakings who are engaged, either directly or indirectly, in the distribution or arranging of tickets, even if this distribution or arrangement is made free of charge (e.g. travel agencies, consolidators, tour operators, travel brokers or cruise lines).  

  • a)   The corporate tariffs "Dynamic Flex SMART" and "Dynamic Flex BEST" are aligned, in amount and product components, in each case to the most up-to-the-minute publicly available fares online (tariff types "SMART" and "BEST"). Excluded therefrom are fares based on promotional discounts and fares that can only be booked in the public area. 

    The product bundles associated with the tariffs “SMART” and “BEST” are an obligatory component in the corporate tariffs "Dynamic Flex Smart" and "Dynamic Flex Best". 

    b)   "Dynamic Flex" is confined to Germanwings and Eurowings non-stop connections. Connecting Flights shall be excluded from the offer.

    c)   In addition, the conditions specified under Article 4 and 5 shall apply.

  • The corporate tariffs "Dynamic Flex Smart“ and "Dynamic Flex Best" are granted subject to the condition that the Participating Company generates a minimum annual turnover of €15,000 by booking Germanwings and/or Eurowings flights in accordance with Art. 1.

    Counting towards the preconditioned minimum turnover are flight bookings made after log-in with the user name and password, given by Germanwings, as well as flight bookings made via GDS-based channels, whereas “Dynamic Flex” conditions are not bookable via GDS-based channels. In the event that the participation is made in the course of a calendar year a pro-rated minimum turnover shall apply accordingly.

  • a)   Booked flights may be cancelled until 11:59pm on the same calendar day as on which the departure of the flight was originally agreed upon. In such case, Germanwings/Eurowings shall refund the total fare paid less, as a lump-sum, a cancellation fee of € 50 (fifty EUROs) per person and leg, unless the Participating Company can prove that no expenses have occurred or that the actual expenses were smaller in amount. Furthermore, booked flights may be cancelled after 11:59pm of the originally planned day for departure subject to a lump-sum fee of €75 per person and leg. In any other cases, the right of rescission or cancellation of the carriage contract and any partial or full refund of the carriage fee shall be subject to the provisions of Germanwings'/Eurowings’ General Conditions of Carriage (GCC).

    b)   Changes in reservations to another scheduled departure time are allowed until 11:59pm on the same calendar day, provided however that there are still seats available on the then chosen flight. In any case changes in routing are excluded. The lump-sum for changes to reservations pursuant to the "Table of charges, Article 17 "BKG" GCC shall not  apply. Furthermore, booked flights may also be changed after 11:59pm on the originally planned day of departure subject to an extra payment of €75, as a lump-sum, per person and leg. Also, the fare for the then chosen flight shall be calculated on the actual tariff for the actual applicable routing and the actual time of departure for that flight. In the event that the new fare to be charged is higher than the fare of the originally booked flight, the difference shall be charged to the customer. If the new fare is lower than the original fare Germanwings/Eurowings shall not be obliged to make any refunds.

    c) Changes affecting passengers, i.e. the transfer of an entitlement to carriage on booked flights to any other persons and/or the supplementing of initially incomplete or missing first names or surnames, is allowed up to 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time, provided that Germanwings may charge an extra fee for said changing (cf. "Table of charges, Article 17 "NC1" GCC). Furthermore, the flight fare shall depend on the fare bracket for the route concerned at the time of the change of name. In the event that the new fare charged is higher than the fare of the originally booked flight, the difference shall be paid by the customer. If the new fare is lower Germanwings/Eurowings shall not be obliged to make any refunds. A change of passenger to any other person who is not entitled pursuant to Article 6 is not possible. 

  • a)   Booked flights may be cancelled until 11:59pm on the same calendar day as on which  the departure of the flight was originally agreed upon. In such case, Germanwings/Eurowings shall refund the total fare paid less, as a lump-sum, a cancellation fee of € 100 per person and leg, unless the Participating Company can prove that no expenses have occurred or that the actual expenses were smaller in amount. Furthermore, booked flights may be cancelled after 11:59pm of the originally planned day for departure subject to a lump-sum fee of €120 per person and leg. In any other cases, the right of rescission or cancellation of the carriage contract and any partial or full refund of the carriage fee shall be subject to the provisions of Germanwings'/Eurowings’ General Conditions of Carriage (GCC)

In the event that the new fare to be charged is higher than the fare of the originally booked flight, the difference shall be charged to the  customer. If the new fare is lower than the original fare Germanwings/Eurowings shall not be obliged to make any refunds.

  • a)   The corporate rates are only valid for business trips made by the staff of Participating Company and/or by the staff of Participating Company’s affiliates and subsidiaries, as defined by Seq. 15 of the German Stock Corporation Act, and/or by the staff of thirdparty companies when they are travelling at the expense, at the behest or on behalf of Participating Company. At the time of travel the respective staff member must be in an active, non-dormant and contract-bound employment relationship with the Participating Company, its affiliate/subsidiary or the third-party company.

    b)   As a condition precedent for the corporate tariffs the air carriage contract concerned has to be concluded directly by the Participating Company with Germanwings/Eurowings in its own name and for the benefit of its staff members (or, if applicable, in its own name for the benefit of its affiliates/subsidiaries’ staff member or in its own name for the benefit of third party’s staff member), so that the Participating Company shall be the contractual party to the respective air carriage contract itself. The Participating Company guarantees that each individual passengers authorised under the carriage contract fulfils the conditions laid down in a). 

    c)   Flights subject to corporate tariffs can be booked via the online Germanwings B2B portal employing the personal user name and the personal password issued by Germanwings to the Participating Company. Using the Participating Company's own access data, the corporate rates are also bookable via third-party systems (e.g. Online Booking Engines – OBE) provided that the third-party supplier concerned displays these online-based rates. 

    d)   The Participating Company’s specific access data and therefore the “Dynamic Flex” conditions can be used worldwide and apply to the Participating Company and the entitled group of persons as defined in a).

    e)   Any payments to be made by Participating Company are due immediately after the booking is made. Payments are to be made using a Germanwings/Eurowings-accepted credit card or by SEPA direct-debit mandate (SEPA direct debiting order for a current account at a German banking institution). Germanwings and Eurowings reserve the right to introduce and/or discontinue other forms of payment. Germanwings and Eurowings will inform the Participating Company about any upcoming changes to payment methods well in advance.

  • Any carriage by air under "Dynamic Flex" and any of the carriage contracts underlying such carriage are subject to Germanwings'/Eurowings’ General Conditions of Carriage (GCC).

    The GCC are shown here, online at www.germanwings.com and accordingly at www.eurowings.com and may be downloaded and printed out from that site.

    Changes and amendments to the published flight schedule are reserved.

  • a)   Participation under "Dynamic Flex" commences upon acceptance of these Dynamic Flex Terms & Conditions by Participating Company and is agreed for an indefinite period of time.

    b)   Participation under "Dynamic Flex" may be terminated by either party giving one month's written notice to the end of a calendar month to the respective other party without stating reasons.

    c)   Notwithstanding b) either party may terminate "Dynamic Flex" without notice for cause. Examples for events of cause are in particular:

    (1)   If a party is in breach of a material contractual obligation under “Dynamic Flex”;

    (2)   a party infringes other contractual duties and fails to remedy such infringement within an appropriate period of time despite being requested to do so by the respective other party;

    (3)   insolvency proceedings are opened against the assets of a party, or a corresponding application is rejected due to lack of sufficient funds, or if a party is in liquidation.

    d)   In the event that the minimum annual turnover of €15,000 required for the participation in “Dynamic Flex” has not been reached by Participating Company, both parties shall mutually start negotiations agreeing upon a solution. If no agreement has been reached, Germanwings and Eurowings may cancel the Participating Company’s participation in "Dynamic Flex" without giving any further cause. In either case there will be no additional charge to Participating Company.

  • a)   During and after the term of the participation in “Dynamic Flex”, both parties shall undertake and guarantee strict confidentiality with regard to the content of the participation and any confidential information obtained thereby, and shall refrain from disclosing same on to any third party. Confidential information in this respect shall also include the user name and the personal password which Germanwings has issued to Participating Company. In case that a travel agency or any other third party is engaged by Participating Company for making the booking for a respective business trip, said travel agency or third party shall also be bound to confidentiality in the same way. 

    b)   Both parties shall ensure that their staff, representatives or others persons having access to the information specified in a) are subject to the same confidentiality obligation. The same applies to the Participating Company’s affiliates and subsidiaries, and their staff members, and/or the third-party companies (as defined in Article 2 a) and their staff members. 

    c)   Affiliates or subsidiary, according to Seq. 15 of the German Stock Corporation Act, of Germanwings/Eurowings or of Deutsche Lufthansa AG (Cologne) shall not be considered as a third party with respect to this confidentiality clause. 

  • Participation in "Dynamic Flex" and all obligations arising therefrom, including any claims for compensation and penalties, are subject in their entirety to the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.

    Place of Jurisdiction of exclusive shall be at the courts of Cologne.

  • Any personal and company-related data associated with the participation in “Dynamic Flex” are collected and processed by Germanwings and/or Eurowings in line with all applicable dataprotection rules and are only used for the purpose of executing “Dynamic Flex”. As far as permitted by law and wherever necessary for the conclusion or performance of agreements and services on the part of Germanwings/Eurowings, Germanwings and/or Eurowings shall have the right to pass personal data of the Participating Company, its affiliates/subsidiaries and/or third parties as defined in Art. 2, as well as any member of staff therefrom, on to Germanwings’/Eurowings’ service providers and/or other third parties. 

    The Participating Company guarantees to create all prerequisites under data-privacy law for Germanwings/Eurowings to collect, to process and to use personal data of its employees, or the employees of the eligible group companies, if applicable, within the scope of “Dynamic Flex”.

  • Upward of a turnover of €400,000 in the last 12 consecutive months, the Participant Company will automatically be upgraded as a "Premium" customer. Premium-customer status is granted for as long as the customer generates a minimum volume of €400,000, but at least for one year. As a Premium customer the Participant Company is honoured with the following "Premium conditions", which shall then replace the "General conditions" as outlined in Art. 4 and 5 of the general Terms and Conditions: 

    General conditions for booking the corporate tariffs "Dynamic Flex Smart" and "Dynamic Flex Best" for short and medium haul routes (Domestic, Europe and North Africa)

    a) Booked flights may be cancelled until 11.59pm on the same calendar day as on which the departure of the flight was originally agreed upon. In such case, Germanwings/Eurowings shall refund the total fare paid less, as a lump-sum, a cancellation fee of €15 (fifteen EUROs) per person and leg, unless the Participating Company can prove that no expenses have occurred or that the actual expenses were smaller in amount. Furthermore, booked flights may be cancelled after 11.59pm of the originally planned day of departure subject to a lump-sum payment of €75 per person and leg. In any other cases, the right of rescission or cancellation of the carriage contract and any partial or full refund of the carriage fare shall be subject to Germanwings'/Eurowings General Conditions of Carriage (GCC).

    b) Changes in reservations to another scheduled time of departure will be allowed until 11.59pm on the same calendar day as on which the departure of the flight was originally agreed upon, provided that there are still seats available on the then chosen flight. Changes in routing are excluded. The lump-sum for changes to reservations pursuant to the Table of charges, Article 17 "BKG" GCC does not apply. Booked flights may also be changed after 11:59pm of the originally planned day of departure by paying a lump-sum of €75 per person and leg. Also, the fare for the then chosen flight shall be calculated on the actual tariff for the actual applicable routing and the actual time of departure for that flight. In the event that the new fare to be charged is higher than the fare of the originally booked flight, the difference shall be charged to the customer. If the new fare is lower than the original fare Germanwings/Eurowings shall not be obliged to make any refunds.

    c) Changes affecting passengers, i.e. the transfer of an entitlement to carriage on booked flights to any other person and/or the supplementing of initially incomplete or missing first names or surnames, may be made in each case up to 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time of departure for an extra-charge of €15 (fifteen EUROs) per person and booking. Also, the fare for the then chosen flight shall be calculated on the actual tariff for the actual applicable routing and the actual time of departure for that flight. In the event that the new fare to be charged is higher than the fare of the originally booked flight, the difference shall be charged to the customer. If the new fare is lower than the original fare Germanwings/Eurowings shall not be obliged to make any refunds. A change of passenger to any other person who is not entitled pursuant to Article 6 is not possible. 

    General conditions for booking the corporate tariffs "Dynamic Flex Smart" and "Dynamic Flex Best" for long haul routes (The Americas and Asia)

    a) Booked flights may be cancelled until 11.59pm on the same calendar day as on which the departure of the flight was originally agreed upon. In such case, Germanwings/Eurowings shall refund the total fare paid less, as a lump-sum, a cancellation fee of € 65 per person and leg, unless the Participating Company can prove that no expenses have occurred or that the actual expenses were smaller in amount. Furthermore, booked flights may be cancelled after 11.59pm of the originally planned day of departure subject to a lump-sum payment of € 120 per person and leg. In any other cases, the right of rescission or cancellation of the carriage contract and any partial or full refund of the carriage fare shall be subject to Germanwings'/Eurowings General Conditions of Carriage (GCC).

    b) Changes in reservations to another scheduled departure time are allowed until 11:59pm on the same calendar day, provided however that there are still seats available on the then chosen flight. In any case changes in routing are excluded. A lump-sum for changes to reservations of € 25 per person and leg applies. In the event that the new fare to be charged is higher than the fare of the originally booked flight, the difference shall be charged to the customer. If the new fare is lower than the original fare Germanwings/Eurowings shall not be obliged to make any refunds. A change of passenger to any other person who is not entitled pursuant to Article 6 is not possible.

Children and the accompanying adult must belong to the same booking (with the same booking number). If this is not the case, please contact our call centre no later than 3 days before departure.

In event that the accompanying adult is not a parent or legal guardian, we will need written permission from a parent or a legal guardian. Please use the form provided for this purpose. Without this written permission, we regret that we will have to refuse carriage.
On direct flights within Germany, childen ages 5 through 11 may travel with Eurowings without an accompanying adult (unaccompanied minors). Our child-friendly staff will care for your child and ensure that he or she reaches the destination airport safely.

Infants under the age of 2 are not entitled to a seat. Instead, they are transported on the lap of an adult and secured with a seatbelt (loop belt).

Alternatively, we offer transport in a child safety seat in a separate seat. Bookings may only be made through the call centre or at one of our airport counters. Online booking is excluded.

etix® is an electronic ticket that replaces paper tickets. It has a 13-digit number in addition to your booking code. You receive this etix® ticket number under certain circumstances, for example if you book through the Lufthansa website or a travel agent. It is saved for you in the etix® database. When you present your etix® ticket number and a photo ID, you will receive your boarding pass.

When flying from, to or over certain countries* airlines are required by law to collect certain data through the Advance Passenger Information System (APIS) and to forward it to the authorities of those countries prior to the flight.

The following information is required:

  • Title
  • First name and surname
  • Date and country of birth
  • Gender
  • Nationality
  • Passport information

Additional APIS information is required for entry into the USA:

  • Country of residency
  • Destination airport
  • Complete address of your destination (street, city, postal code, state/province, country) 

Passengers who book online can enter this information immediately after completing their booking. Any missing information can be added later by going to 'My Eurowings'.

To avoid unnecessary delays at the check-in counter, we recommend that you submit the APIS information as early as possible using our online form.
