Can I change my flight booking?
You can change the date of your Eurowings flight before web check-in closes prior to departure, as long as the flight will be taken by the same person on the same route and within our published flight schedule. You can make the change online or using your mobile phone, via our call centre or at the airport counter.
If you decide to change your booking via telephone or in person, an additional processing charge will be incurred, unless you booked your flight with the Flex option.
Changing the date of your flight
- Log in to "My flight" using your username and password. There you will find a summary of your booked flights.
- Select the flight you wish to change.
- Enter the new flight date.
You can then change your flight on payment of a charge and, if necessary, on payment of the difference in fare for your new flight date.
If you booked your flight with the Flex option, you can change your flight at no extra charge up to before web check-in closes prior to the planned departure time of the affected flight online, using your mobile, via telephone or in person at the airport counter. The Flex option also allows you to change the flight date after the planned departure time, as long as this is done on the same calendar day as the departure of the original flight, via our call centre or in person at the airport counter. If you do not cancel your flight until after the original departure date, a charge will be incurred.
Please note that if the flight date is changed online, this can only be done within the same fare. If you would like to upgrade your fare (e.g. from BASIC to SMART), you can do so up to 72 hours prior to departure via telephone or at the airport counter.
If you have an etix® ticket number instead of a booking number, or if you have booked a flight operated by one of our partner airlines at eurowings.com or you have booked a Eurowings flight with one of our partner airlines or in a travel agency, please contact the relevant partner airline or your travel agency regarding this matter.
All regulations apply to Eurowings flights with an EW or 4U flight number, regardless of the operating airline. For our partner airlines' flights, which do not have an EW or 4U flight number, the conditions of the respective airline apply. These can be viewed on the airlines' own websites. These partner airlines currently include Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Condor, United Airlines, Air Canada and All Nippon Airways.
Changing the passenger name
You can transfer your flight to another person before web check-in closes prior to departure via telephone on payment of a charge and by giving the booking number. Please note that if multiple legs have been booked as part of the journey, the passenger name may only be changed before web check-in closes prior to the planned departure of the first flight.
If the current flight price is higher than the price you originally paid, you must pay the difference in the fares.
If your Eurowings flight booking has an etix® ticket number, it is unfortunately not possible to change the passenger name.
