Can I take my sports equipment with me at Eurowings?
You can book large pieces of sports equipment such as bicycles (except e-bikes), skis and surfboards online up to before web check-in closes before departure, either at the time of booking the flight or at a later date. There must be sufficient storage space available on the plane.
Of course, you can also book your equipment onto the plane by phoning our call centre.
If you would like to travel with sport guns, please contact our call centre. Online reservation is not possible.
We only transport bicycles if they are securely stored in a bicycle bag or box. Please ensure that the handlebars are fixed sideways, the pedals have been removed and the tyres have been deflated.
Unfortunately we cannot take e-bikes as they are battery-operated.
Bodyboards and surfboards
Bodyboards and surfboards can be transported in a protective bag.
A charge may apply for the transportation of sports equipment. You can find out if a charge will be applied and how much it will cost here.
Please note that we do not transport unaccompanied luggage on our flights.
All regulations apply to Eurowings flights with an EW flight number, regardless of the operating airline. For our partner airlines' flights, which do not have an EW flight number, the conditions of the respective airline apply. These can be viewed on the airlines' own websites. These partner airlines currently include Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Condor, United Airlines, Air Canada and All Nippon Airways.
If you have booked your Eurowings flight with one of our partner airlines or in a travel agency, you can of course still bring your sports equipment with you. More information on this can be obtained from the relevant airline or from your travel agency.
