What are the General Conditions for Group Bookings?
The Eurowings General Conditions for Group Bookings apply to each carriage of passengers and luggage advertised and booked via Eurowings GmbH (hereinafter "Eurowings") for groups of more than 9 people ("Group Booking").
- Contract of Carriage/booking
The Contract of Carriage comes into effect when the contact person returns the booking quotation (Offer) and Eurowings issues the booking confirmation (Acceptance).
Unless the booking is for a family, the contact person acts as the group representative. In this case, the contact person concludes the Contract of Carriage in his or her own name on behalf of the individual group members.
- Processing via a contact person
The entire booking process, including payment, is carried out via the contact person named in the quotation. Essential information, such as the Eurowings General Conditions of Carriage (GCC), flight schedules, flight changes, etc. is to be provided to the group members by the contact person in good time and in full. Information given to the contact person will be assumed to have been passed on to the remaining group members.
- List of names
A complete list of names of all group members must be provided to Eurowings at the latest 4 working days before departure.
- Booking changes/cancellation
Bookings may be changed (flight times or dates) before departure and will incur an additional charge (per person and journey leg) plus the difference in the new flight price, if applicable. After the scheduled departure time, changes may no longer be made. For groups of 12 travellers or more, 10% of the group (rounded down to the nearest individual) may cancel up to a month before departure and will receive a full reimbursement. Additional passengers (1–9 people) may only be added separately online or via the call centre at the current Eurowings flight price (subject to availability).
- Refusal of carriage for a group member
If a group member is refused carriage for good cause, the remaining group members do not have the right to cancel the booking. The obligation to pay the Group Booking price still stands.
In addition, the General Conditions of Carriage (GCC) apply, insofar as no contradictory clause exists in the General Conditions for Group Bookings.
All regulations apply to Eurowings flights with an EW or 4U flight number, regardless of the operating airline. For our partner airlines' flights, which do not have an EW or 4U flight number, the conditions of the respective airline apply. These can be viewed on the airlines' own websites. These partner airlines currently include Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Condor, United Airlines, Air Canada and All Nippon Airways.
