What benefits does the BASIC fare offer?

The BASIC fare is our budget fare. It includes only the flight. Luggage and many other additional services can be added to your booking as needed. Our Wings Bistro offers you dining pleasure above the clouds at affordable prices.

Can I convert Boomerang Club miles to Miles & More award miles or vice versa?

No, it is not possible to convert Boomerang Club miles to Miles & More award miles or vice versa.

What payment options are available?

Service is very important to us, so we offer a wide range of payment options. We ask for your understanding in the event that not all payment options are available to you.

Direct debit

You can pay via direct debit up to 5 days before departure as long as the following requirements are fulfilled:

  • You hold a current account.
  • Sufficient funds are available in your account.


Any charges incurred by cancelled payments or insufficient funds will be added to the flight price. In the event of a chargeback, please do not make any payments. We will contact you as soon as possible to discuss the next steps.

Credit cards

You can also pay with your credit card as long as you are entitled to use it to pay over the phone or online. For more information on this, please contact your bank.

You can either authorise PayPal to transfer the payment amount to us, or you can authorise us to withdraw the relevant amount from your PayPal account.

Paying on invoice (RatePAY)

You can also pay for your flight and any charged additional services via RatePAY invoice if:

  • You book online and the amount payable is at least €20 but no more than €2,000
  • The flight price is given in euros
  • Your billing and contact address is your personal address and is within the Federal Republic of Germany or Austria
  • You have a positive credit check

Detailed information can be found in the RatePAY data protection declaration.

If you fulfil these criteria and we have accepted your request to pay via RatePAY invoice, the invoice amount will be due on the tenth bank working day after booking, or at the latest on the last bank working day before departure. Payment must arrive in the receiving account by this date. Please only transfer the payment to the bank account specified on the invoice.

If you are unable to use this payment method, we can offer you an alternative payment option.

 Note:
This payment method can only be used to pay for flight bookings and only for flights charged at the normal price.

Cash payments

You may only pay in cash if you book your ticket at one of our airport counters.

Vouchers

Paying for a booking with a voucher is quick and simple:

  1. In the "Payment" step of the online booking process, select the option to pay with a voucher.
  2. Enter your voucher code and then check the code entered and the travel services in your basket.
  3. Click on "Confirm booking" to complete your booking.

If the price of the flight exceeds the value of your voucher, you may pay the remaining amount either with another voucher or another payment method.

Validity
Vouchers may only be used to book Eurowings flight services and not partner offers (e.g. Rail&Fly, rental cars or hotels).

Please note that conditions of use vary for purchased and promotional vouchers.

Vouchers may not be used to book flights with our partner airlines at eurowings.com. Our current partner airlines are Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Condor, United Airlines, Air Canada and All Nippon Airways.

How long will my Boomerang Club miles remain valid?

Once miles have been credited to your account, you have 24 months to redeem them for rewards. If this does not occur, the miles will be forfeited at the end of the 24th month and will automatically be deleted from your mileage account.

Will I be awarded miles for Blind Booking flights?

Yes, you can collect Boomerang Club miles on Blind Booking flights, but not Miles & More premium miles.

What happens to my miles if I do not board a flight?

If you do not board a flight and it is forfeited, you will not receive any miles for this flight. As a general rule, members can only collect miles on those services that they use themselves.

What is the Miles & More executive bonus?

The executive bonus is a 25% mileage bonus that you receive if you are a Frequent Traveller, Senator or HON Circle member.

How long will my Miles & More status miles remain valid?

In order to achieve or maintain status as a Frequent Traveller, Senator or HON Circle member, you must collect a specific number of status miles within one calendar year (from 1 January to 31 December). The counter is reset to zero on the first day of the year, so only the status miles of the current year will be shown.

How many award miles do I earn on each flight?

Your mileage credit is based on the region and booking class in which you travel. You can collect miles on Germanwings flights. During the booking process you will of course be informed how many Miles & More award miles or Boomerang Club miles you will collect for your flight.

How do I collect Miles & More award miles with Eurowings?

Eurowings and Miles & More make it easy for you to collect award miles. Just enter your Miles & More service card number when you book a flight. If you ever forget to enter your number, you can fill it in on our online portal at "My bookings" before boarding.

How do I sign up with Miles & More?

You have various options for signing up with Miles & More. The simplest of these is to register online. To online registration

At the end of the online registration process, you can print your temporary Miles & More card and immediately begin collecting miles. The brochures displayed contain a provisional card that you can fill in yourself so that you can start straight away.

You will also find registration brochures at all Lufthansa and SWISS sales offices, in airports, on board Lufthansa flights and at travel agencies with LH representation.

What are HON Circle miles?

HON Circle miles are crucial to achieving HON Circle member status. In order to become a HON Circle member you must collect 600,000 HON Circle miles over the course of two consecutive calendar years.

You can earn these special status miles on Eurowings flights at the BEST fare level. At all other fare levels you will receive regular status and award miles.

How long will my Miles & More award miles remain valid?

Award miles are valid for 36 months from the date of the activity and, if they are not used, expire at the end of the quarter. If you have Frequent Traveller, Senator or HON Circle member status or a German Miles & More credit card, this mileage expiry date does not apply to you.

My miles have not yet been credited. Why not?

It can generally take up to 2 days days after you board your flight for the miles you have earned to be credited. If you forgot to enter your Miles & More service card number under "My flight" either when you booked your flight or at a later date, your mileage will not be credited automatically.

If you are also a Boomerang Club member, check to see if you entered your Boomerang Club number. In this case, the miles for your flight would be credited to your Boomerang Club account.

Does every booking earn Miles & More award and status miles?

No, some booking classes do not allow miles to be collected.

Award flight tickets and travel industry discount tickets (for example, ID, AD) generally exclude the option of collecting miles. In addition, miles cannot be collected on flights in classes JP, AA, A, Z, P/U (award flights), BB (Blind Booking flights) or JR.

Can I collect Miles & More award miles with other partners too?

Miles & More has more than 40 airline partners and over 100 other partners in a range of areas with whom you can earn miles, including hotels, car rental agencies, telecommunications providers and media companies. Go to "Collect miles" at miles-and-more.com for detailed information.

What benefits do I enjoy as a member of the Boomerang Club?

As a member of the Boomerang Club, you will enjoy a wide variety of benefits:

  • 10 miles per €1 transaction for every Eurowings flight
  • Award flight for only 10,000 miles
  • Exclusive offers and sales

How do you claim Miles & More award and status miles retroactively?

You can enter your Miles & More service card number before departure under "My flight". Use your Eurowings booking code.

If your flight is not listed under "My flights", you can have check-in staff enter your number for you.

Of course, you can also enter your Miles & More number after you have taken your flight. You will find the form for entering your miles retroactively at www.miles-and-more.com/mileage-request.

 

 

Do I receive miles when I book flights for family, friends or employees?

No, you only receive miles for services that you yourself have used. You do not receive miles for a flight or service that you have booked for someone else.

I did not enter my Boomerang Club membership number when I booked my flight. Can I have the miles credited to me retroactively?

You can only collect miles for flights that you booked after signing up with the Boomerang Club. If you forget to enter your membership number when you book your flight, you can add it online at a later date. To do this, simply find the flight in question in the member area under "My flight" and enter your number.

You can even take care of this after your flight. You have up to three months after the flight to enter your membership number and collect miles. However, please note that it may take up to seven days for your miles to be credited.

If your flight is not listed under "My bookings", please contact our service team within three months to get the mileage credit. You can reach the call centre by phone at +44 (0) 330 365 9986 (€0.20 per call from a landline phone – €0.60 maximum per call from a mobile phone) or by emailing boomerangclub@eurowings.com

You will need the full booking number of the booking in question when you make this call. For this reason, it is a good idea after every flight to put your booking confirmation in a safe place. It may take up to three weeks to enter the miles retroactively.

What are Miles & More award miles?

Whenever you enter your Miles & More service card number while booking a flight, award miles will automatically be credited to your mileage account. Once you have accumulated a certain number of award miles, you can exchange them for attractive rewards. Discover 130 destinations starting from 10,000 miles. Please select online from our three fare options BASIC, SMART and BEST. The products can be combined as a round trip if wished.

Award miles can not only be collected by booking flights, but also through our hotel and car rental associates, your Miles & More credit card, special offers and our a wide variety of business partners.

How do I collect miles?

In order to collect miles as a member, enter your membership number every time you book a flight. The appropriate number of miles will then be credited automatically to your personal mileage account after you board the flight. If you do not board a booked flight, you will not receive any miles for it.

As a registered Boomerang Club member, you also have other opportunities to collect miles. You will receive miles for any paid stay in a partner hotel or car hire from a car hire partner when you indicate your membership number. As a general rule, members may only collect miles for services that they have used themselves.

Can I collect Boomerang Club miles as a family, or for friends and employees?

No, Boomerang Club members receive mileage credit only for flights that they have boarded themselves. A joint family account is not possible.

How are miles credited to my account?

Miles are generally credited to your personal account within 48 hours after you board your flight (not after you book it). If you do not board your flight and it is forfeited, you will not receive miles for that flight.

Miles for services from partner businesses are usually credited within two weeks following the end of the month during which the partner business provided the service.

Will I be credited miles for each individual leg of a one-stop flight?

Miles & More customers earn premium miles on one-stop flights (Smart Connect flights) based on the Miles & More conditions for the entire haul, not the individual flight segments. As usual, Boomerang Club members earn 10 miles for each €1 spent for Smart Connect flights.

How do I check my Miles & More account balance?

To keep track of your current mileage balance at all times, you can check your account online at any time. Your account also shows you how many miles will expire in the next few quarters.

Can I collect Miles & More award and status miles as a family as well?

No, only individuals can take part in the Miles & More programme. Joint family or corporate accounts are not possible.

Which other frequent flyer programmes allow me to collect miles with Eurowings?

You can also collect miles from Eurowings flights with the MileagePlus programme from United Airlines, the Aeroplan programme from Air Canada and the Mileage Club programme from All Nippon Airways (ANA). To do this, you must enter your frequent flyer number when you book your flight on eurowings.com. You can also use your United MileagePlus miles and ANA Mileage Club miles to book award flights with Eurowings. You can book bonus flights with United MileagePlus miles on the United Airlines website or through the United MileagePlus service team. Award flights with ANA Mileage Club miles can only be booked through the ANA Mileage Club service team. 

What is Miles & More?

Miles & More is Europe's leading frequent flyer programme. All it takes is a few moments to join and become a collector of miles yourself. You can start collecting as soon as you sign up as a Miles & More member.

You can earn miles and benefits in many ways, not only when you book flights but also, thanks to a huge network of partners, when you rent a car, stay in a hotel, take out insurance or purchase telecommunications products and services.

How do I check my current Boomerang Club account balance?

You can check the current balance of your mileage account at any time in your online account: account balance.

Once you are there, you can log in with your username and password.

I was credited Boomerang Club miles for a flight, but I wanted to collect Miles & More premium miles. Can I change this?

No. We regret that it is not possible to correct flights after they have been credited to you. When booking a flight, always be sure to enter the correct number.

How do I redeem my Boomerang Club miles?

You can book any available award flight at the BASIC, SMART or BEST fare level very simply online. To do this, click on "Redeem" and log in with your Boomerang Club details. You can then select and book the flight you want using the "Book award flight" function.

Your award flight must be booked no later than two days before the desired departure date and is subject to availability. You can also transfer your award flight to someone else or add bookings for companions.

Please note that Boomerang Club miles can only be redeemed for Eurowings award flights.

Can I collect miles on all flights?

As a Boomerang Club member, you can collect miles on almost all flights. Boomerang Club miles will not be credited for award flights, or for flights operated by our partner airlines. Our current partner airlines are Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Condor, United Airlines, Air Canada and All Nippon Airways.

Can I also earn Miles & More award and status miles with other Boomerang Club partners?

No. As always, you will continue to collect Boomerang Club miles with Boomerang Club partners.

Can I collect both Boomerang Club and Miles & More miles on a flight?

You can only collect miles with one frequent flyer programme when you book a flight. Of course, you can always choose the programme with which you want to collect miles. However, please note that it is not possible to transfer miles from one account to another at a later date.

How do I redeem Miles & More award miles with Eurowings?

As a general rule, miles can only be collected for flights that members themselves have taken and that were booked after signing up with the club. No miles are earned on award flights.

How do I change my Boomerang Club login and contact details?

You can view and edit your personal details at any time on our online portal.

Just log in with your individual Boomerang Club details and you'll be able to change your password and contact information in no time.

Can I redeem my Miles & More miles for awards other than bonus flights?

Of course! Miles & More cooperates with many partners, so you can also redeem your miles for high-quality travel, event and other awards. Have a look online at the awards available to you under "Redeeming miles".

What is the Boomerang Club?

The Boomerang Club is the Eurowings bonus programme. As a Boomerang Club member you can collect miles on almost all Germanwings flights, which are then credited to your account. Once you have at least 10,000 miles, you can redeem them for an award flight. You can also take advantage of exclusive offers and sales from our partners.

Every award mile you collect is automatically credited to your customer account as a status mile as well.

etix® is an electronic ticket that replaces paper tickets. It has a 13-digit number in addition to your booking code. You receive this etix® ticket number under certain circumstances, for example if you book through the Lufthansa website or a travel agent. It is saved for you in the etix® database. When you present your etix® ticket number and a photo ID, you will receive your boarding pass.

When flying from, to or over certain countries* airlines are required by law to collect certain data through the Advance Passenger Information System (APIS) and to forward it to the authorities of those countries prior to the flight.

The following information is required:

  • Title
  • First name and surname
  • Date and country of birth
  • Gender
  • Nationality
  • Passport information
     

Additional APIS information is required for entry into the USA:

  • Country of residency
  • Destination airport
  • Complete address of your destination (street, city, postal code, state/province, country) 

Passengers who book online can enter this information immediately after completing their booking. Any missing information can be added later by going to 'My Eurowings'.

To avoid unnecessary delays at the check-in counter, we recommend that you submit the APIS information as early as possible using our online form.

Travelling with children

We can only transport children under the age of 12 at the time of travel if they travel with a responsible companion who has reached majority. Children and the accompanying adult must belong to the same booking (with the same booking number). If this is not the case, please contact our call centre no later than 3 days before departure.

In event that the accompanying adult is not a parent or legal guardian, we will need written permission from a parent or a legal guardian. Please use the form provided for this purpose. Without this written permission, we regret that we will have to refuse carriage.
On direct flights within Germany, childen ages 5 through 11 may travel with Eurowings without an accompanying adult (unaccompanied minors). Our child-friendly staff will care for your child and ensure that he or she reaches the destination airport safely.

Infants under the age of 2 are not entitled to a seat. Instead, they are transported on the lap of an adult and secured with a seatbelt (loop belt).

Alternatively, we offer transport in a child safety seat in a separate seat. Bookings may only be made through the call centre or at one of our airport counters. Online booking is excluded.
