How does check-in work at Eurowings?
There are various options available for checking in:
1. Check-in counter at the airport
A list of all of our destination airports and information on their check-in counters can be found on the page "Airports and Terminals".
2. Self-service check-in
Passengers can use our convenient self-service check-in option at Cologne/Bonn, Dresden, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Hanover, Nuremberg, London Heathrow, Stuttgart and Vienna airports.
Here too, your carry-ons must not weigh more than 8 kg or exceed the maximum dimensions of 55 x 40 x 23 cm.
If you would like to take larger or heavier bags with you, you can use our baggage drop counter. This is much faster than the check-in counter, as this counter is only available to those dropping off luggage.
3. Web check-in
On the "Web check-in" page you can check in comfortably from your office or from home. This option has the clear advantage of saving time and stress, as you can check all travelers in at the same time. All you need is your six-digit booking code or your etix® ticket number and a printer.
4. Mobile check-in
The Eurowings mobile services allow you to check in on the go using just your mobile phone with an internet connection. You can check in via your browser or, even more conveniently, with the Eurowings app for iPhone or Android. This method only calls for your six-digit booking code and the last name under which you booked your flight. During the check-in process you can choose whether to receive your boarding pass by SMS or email, or whether you would prefer to save your boarding pass to Passbook/Wallet or the Eurowings app.
All regulations apply to Eurowings flights with an EW flight number, regardless of the operating airline. For our partner airlines' flights, which do not have an EW flight number, the conditions of the respective airline apply. They can be viewed on the airlines' own websites. These partner airlines currently include Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Condor, United Airlines, Air Canada and All Nippon Airways.
