What payment options are available at Eurowings?
Service is very important to us, so we offer a wide range of payment options. We ask for your understanding in the event that not all payment options are available to you.
You can pay with direct debit up to 5 days before departure, as long as the following requirements are met:
- You hold a current account.
- Sufficient funds are available in your account.
Any charges incurred by canceled payments or insufficient funds will be added to the ticket price. In the event of a chargeback, please do not make any payments. We will contact you as soon as possible to discuss the next step.
Direct debit arrangements may vary for flights booked with our partner airlines at eurowings.com.
You can also pay with your credit card as long as you are entitled to use it to pay by phone or online. For more information about this, please contact your bank.
We accept the following credit cards:
- Debit MasterCard
- American Express
- VISA Card
- VISA Electron
- VISA Debit Card
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to accept Eurocheque cards.
You can either authorize PayPal to transfer the payment amount to us or you can authorize us to withdraw the relevant amount from your PayPal account.
Paying with an invoice (RatePAY)
You can also pay for your flight and any additional services ordered with a RatePAY invoice if:
- You book online and the amount payable is at least €20 but no more than €2,000
- The flight price is given in euros
- Your billing and contact address is your personal address and is within the Federal Republic of Germany or Austria
- You have a good credit rating

If you meet these criteria and we have accepted your request to pay by RatePAY invoice, the invoice amount will be due on the tenth business day after booking or no later than the last business day before departure. Payment must arrive in the receiving account by this date. Please only transfer the payment to the bank account specified on the invoice.
If you are unable to use this payment method, we can offer you an alternative payment option.
This payment method can only be used to pay for flight bookings.
You may only pay in cash if you book your ticket at one of our airport counters.
Paying for a booking with a coupon is quick and simple:
- In the "Payment" step of the online booking process, select the option to pay with a voucher.
- Enter your voucher code and then check the code entered and the travel services in your basket.
- Click on "Confirm booking" to complete your booking.
If the price of the flight exceeds the value of your coupon, you may pay the remaining amount either with another coupon or another payment method.
Coupons can only be used to book Eurowings flight services, not partner offers (e.g. Rail&Fly, rental cars or hotels).
Coupons cannot be used to book flights with our partner airlines at eurowings.com. Our current partner airlines are Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Condor, United Airlines, Air Canada and All Nippon Airways.
