    Important:

    All regulations apply to Eurowings flights with an EW flight number, regardless of the operating airline. Extras on flights with our partner airlines can only be added through the relevant airline. Our current partner airlines are Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Condor, United Airlines, Air Canada and All Nippon Airways.

    1. After you have logged in on the "Book add-ons" page with your surname and booking code, you will see your itinerary with all of the services you have already booked.
    2. Now, simply add the additional services you want.
    3. Confirm your selection by clicking "Next".
    4. If you have selected a service that is subject to a charge, you will need to confirm once more to complete the booking. In such cases you will receive an updated booking confirmation.
    Note:

    Once booked, additional services cannot be cancelled.

  • Yes, you can edit your booking and add the following extra services up to before web check-in closes before departure, whether you do it online, on your mobile phone, by phone or at one of our airport counters:

    • Regular, excess and special baggage (golfing equipment, bicycles and sports gear such as surfboards, snowboards, bodyboards, diving gear, and sail and hang gliders)
    • Transport of pets
    • Seat reservations
    • Boarding and deplaning assistance for hearing or visually impaired passengers and travelers with restricted mobility
    • Boarding with a wheelchair
    • Assistance for passengers with restricted mobility from check-in to the aircraft, including assistance with steps to aircraft
    • Train connections to airport

    Please be aware that space restrictions prevent us from transporting unlimited amounts of special baggage. Once our space is used up, you will no longer be able to select this service.

    Fare upgrade

    Up to 72 hours before departure, you can still upgrade your fare by phone or at our counters. There will be no processing charge if you do it by phone.

    If the information is correct, and you still cannot access your booking, this could be because you did not make the booking directly with Eurowings, but rather via a travel agency, a travel portal or a tour organiser. In this case, please contact the company with which you made the booking directly. Otherwise, our call centre as well as our ground crew at the airport will of course be happy to help you.

    Flights with our partner airlines

    At eurowings.com, you can now also combine our flights with flights from other airlines. On selected routes, we offer you the additional possibility to book direct flights within our partner network.

    If you cannot book services for your flight booking at eurowings.com, this could be because you booked a Eurowings flight on our website in combination with another airline, or even a direct flight with another airline. Please check your booking confirmation, which was sent to you by email with the subject “Your Lufthansa Group booking”.

  • Passengers with disabilities board the plane first as a matter of course. If you and your companion need additional help when checking in, boarding or on the way to your seat, we are on hand to assist. Naturally, these additional services are available free of charge.

    Adding more services

    In the second booking step, various assistance options can be added to your booking under "More services". There you can also report that you are bringing a wheelchair. However, you can also modify your booking and add more services at a later date up to before web check-in closes before departure in the "My flight" section.

    1. Enter your six-digit booking number or your etix® ticket number on the "Web check-in" page, and then enter your last name or the last name of one of the passengers on your booking.
    2. You can now check in all passengers in your booking at the same time, including infants.
    3. You can also reserve a seat at this time.
    4. To finish, simply print out your boarding pass.

    You can use the web check-in function as early as 72 hours and as late as 3 hours before departure, and at German departure airports up to 40 minutes before departure (exception: Karlsruhe, Baden-Baden and Heringsdorf on the island of Usedom). At London Heathrow, because of the size of this international airport, Web check-in is only available up to 45 minutes prior to departure. In Palma de Mallorca, Web check-in is only available up to 45 minutes prior to departure. In Amsterdam Web check-in is only available up to 40 minutes prior to departure.

    Baggage

    As you already have a boarding pass, if you are only traveling with a carry-on, you can go straight to the gate. If you have special or excess baggage or baggage that you want to check, please use the check-in counter. At the airports Berlin, Hanover, Cologne/Bonn, Munich and Stuttgart you can also use the baggage drop counter, which we have set up for checked baggage only.

    Additional services

    As soon as the Web check-in process is complete, it is no longer possible to book additional services online. However, you will be able to register additional baggage to be checked for an extra charge at the airport counter.

For flights operated by our partner airlines, please use the online check-in function for the appropriate airline.   • Yes, baggage can be added to a booking up to before web check-in closes before departure. If this is done online through "Book add-ons", on a mobile phone in the "Manage bookings" area, or by telephone, the usual additional charges apply. You will pay more if you register your baggage when you get to the airport counter.

    Adding baggage to a booking online

    1. Log in on the "Book add-ons" page.
    2. You will see an overview of your flights with all of the services you have booked.
    3. Simply add your baggage or excess baggage.
    4. After clicking "Next", just confirm your payment to complete the booking.
    5. We will then send you an updated booking confirmation.
    Note:

    Registered baggage cannot be removed.
    If you have an etix® ticket number rather than a booking number, or if you have booked a Eurowings flight with one of our partner airlines or through a travel agency, baggage regulations may vary. Please contact the appropriate airline or your travel agency for more details.

  • Want to make sure your trip to the airport is quick and comfortable? If so, you can book your train ticket to the airport with us even after you have booked your flight. As usual, you can choose between a return ticket and a one-way ticket to the airport. It is not possible to book a train ticket for the return leg of the trip only. Rail&Fly tickets cannot be booked if the airport chosen as the destination of your return flight is different from the airport you are departing from.

    Please note that if you have made a group flight booking, train tickets may only be booked for all passengers and not for individual passengers.

    Exception:

    If you choose a one-way journey when booking your flight, it is not possible to add a return journey at a later date.

  • No. You can book additional services at a later date at no extra cost. If you add services subject to surcharges, you will only have to pay the surcharges.

    Please note that direct debit payments are only possible up to 5 days before departure.

    Our tip:

    If you book your checked or excess baggage before checking in for your flight, you will save up to 50% on the charge for booking checked baggage at the airport counter.

We can only transport children under the age of 12 on the date of travel if they travel with a responsible adult companion. Children and the accompanying adult must be on the same booking (with the same booking number). If this is not the case, please contact our call center no later than 3 days before departure.

In the event that the accompanying adult is not a parent or legal guardian, we will need written permission from a parent or a legal guardian. Please use the form provided for this purpose. Without this written permission, we regret that we will have to refuse to transport the child. On direct flights within Germany, children ages 5 through 11 may travel on Eurowings without an accompanying adult (unaccompanied minors). Our child-friendly staff will care for your child and ensure that he or she reaches the destination airport safely.

Infants and toddlers under the age of 2 are not entitled to a seat. Instead, they are transported on the lap of an adult and secured with a seatbelt (loop belt).

Alternatively, we offer transport in a child safety seat in a separate seat. Bookings may only be made through the call center or at one of our airport counters. Online booking is not an option.

etix® is an electronic ticketing service that replaces paper tickets. It has a 13-digit number in addition to your booking code. You receive this etix® ticket number under certain circumstances, for example if you book your flight on the Lufthansa website or through a travel agent. It is saved for you in the etix® database. When you present your etix® ticket number and a photo ID, you will receive your boarding pass.

When flying from, to or over certain countries*, airlines are required by law to collect certain data through the Advance Passenger Information System (APIS) and to forward it to the authorities of those countries before the flight begins.

The following information is required:

  • Title
  • First and last name
  • Date and country of birth
  • Gender
  • Nationality
  • Passport information

Additional APIS information is required for entry into the United States:

  • Country of residence
  • Destination airport
  • Complete address of your destination (street, city, postal code, state/province, country) 

Passengers who book online can enter this information immediately after completing their booking. Any missing information can be added later by going to 'My Eurowings'.

To avoid unnecessary delays at the check-in counter, we recommend that you submit the APIS information as early as possible using our online form.

Please note that you may not be permitted to travel if the information is not complete.
