Hardly anyone would think that Hannover (HAJ) has so many beautiful sights in store for visitors. A city tour will take tourists past historical buildings, monuments and other attractions. The 14th century Market Church is located on the market square in the Old Town. Like the Old Town Hall, it is an historical example of Brick Gothic in Northern Germany. A very old and valuable altar painting hangs in the Holy Cross Church. The oldest half-timbered house is in Burgstrasse and was built in the years 1564 to 1566.
