Whoever visits Tbilisi (Tiflis) does not know where to look first. The city, dating back to the fourth century, combines the most diverse cultural influences. Here, Persian customs met Arabic food and Russian architecture met Turkish literature in the past. Despite repeated destruction of the city, visitors to Tbilisi (TBS) can still marvel at the traces of the past on almost every corner.
In order not to lose the overview, a walk to the fortress Nariqala in the south of the old town is worthwhile. From up here, you can quickly discover the many other sights in the city center: the bright yellow Sameba Cathedral, the popular Rike Park, which is home to many art installations, or the glass Peace Bridge, which connects the city districts across the river Mtkvari. It is also not far from the fortress to Leghvtakhevi, the city's own waterfall, located in the Tbilisi (TBS) Botanical Garden. With temperatures reaching 30 degrees celsius in summer, it is the favorite place of many visitors and residents.
