Pula (PUY) lies on the southernmost tip of the Istrian peninsula and is the largest city in Istria. The city may not yet be known as a city break destination, but it still offers its visitors some interesting sights and destinations in the surrounding area. While the countryside becomes a little more barren towards the eastern coast, the southern and western coasts are more tourist-centric. If you would like to discover the prettiest corners of the city, you can do this relatively easily on foot as many of the sights are within walking distance of one another. The best times to travel are March, April, September and October. Temperatures can hit 28 degrees in the summer months, which is not always best for a city trip.
