The Spanish capital of Madrid (MAD) is one of Europe's biggest and brightest cities. The city is also one of the most popular city break destinations, not least due to its many beautiful buildings, old monuments and historical sights. Culture lovers will find many museums in Madrid (MAD), some of which have different exhibitions of well-known and emerging artists throughout the year. The Paseo del Prado, Madrid's avenue of art, is especially interesting. This is where the world's three most important museums are located: the Museo de Arte Thyssen-Bornemisza, the Museo del Prado and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia.
