Where can I redeem my gift voucher?

Gift vouchers may be redeemed when booking a flight at www.eurowings.com during the booking payment step. Just click on the "Redeem voucher" option when selecting your payment method. After booking, you can also use your gift vouchers for booking extra services. Just click on "Booking" under "My trip" and then on "Add additional service" or "Add seat reservation".

Can I have the balance on a gift voucher paid out to me?

Cash payment of the balance or remaining balance is not possible at any time.

Can I use only some of the balance of my gift voucher for a payment?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can. Should the value of the voucher exceed the amount due, the leftover amount simply remains on the gift voucher with the same voucher code until it expires. You can simply use it again for your next booking.

Please note that you will not receive a new gift voucher for the remaining amount. Cash payment of the remaining balance is not possible.

How long are Eurowings gift vouchers valid for?

Unless a different expiry date is stated on the gift voucher, it is valid from purchase until the end of the year of issue plus an additional three years (e.g. purchased on 1 April 2025, valid until 31 December 2028). Vouchers purchased before 1 January 2025 are valid until the end of the year of issue plus an additional five years.

My gift voucher has expired. What do I do?

We're sorry, but there's nothing to be done in this case. It is not possible to extend a voucher's expiration date or exchange it for cash.

What should I do if there’s a problem redeeming my gift voucher?

Please check that you entered the gift voucher code correctly (XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX) and that you entered it in the correct input field. The field to enter your gift voucher code is in the “Payment” step of the booking process. You can’t enter the code until you’ve filled out the billing address in full. Please also make sure that the gift voucher is still valid. The expiry date can be found in the voucher PDF. Another reason why you may not be able to redeem your gift voucher could be because you’ve selected flights or services that can’t be paid for with a gift voucher. You can find more information on this in the terms of use for gift vouchers.

Can I redeem my gift voucher during promotional periods?

Yes, you can use a gift voucher to pay when we are running promotions, unless this is excluded in the terms and conditions of the specific promotion.

What services can I redeem my gift voucher for?

Accepted Answer

Gift vouchers are valid only for flights with an EW flight number operated by Eurowings or Eurowings wet lease partners and only for extras available in connection with a Eurowings flight, such as baggage and special baggage fees or seat reservations. These extras can be paid for with a gift voucher both during the flight booking process or when adding options later.

However, with the exception of Rail&Fly, gift vouchers can’t be used to book partner offers (e.g. hotel, rental car or insurance) or to purchase additional gift vouchers.

What happens if I cancel flights I paid for with a gift voucher?

If flights paid for with a gift voucher are cancelled in line with the statutory or fare conditions and you claim a refund, the refund will go back on the gift voucher.

Can I redeem my gift voucher if I’m not paying in euros?

Accepted Answer

Yes, gift vouchers can be redeemed even when paying in a currency other than the euro.
