Mahón (MAH), the capital city of the Balearic Island of Menorca, has a long history. The port was discovered by Phonecians more than 3,000 years ago. But it was only under Roman rule that Mahón (MAH) grew and became one of Spain's most important ports. In the narrow alleyways, there are still relics of this location's past: a historic church or a few museums with exhibitions on the city's history, for example. The marketplace offers a spectacular view over the port and entire city. Mahón Airport (MAH) is very centrally located and easy to reach using public transport.
