The Spanish city of Valencia (VLC) is in the eastern part of the country, around 320 kilometres away from Madrid. The city has many historical sights and other highlights to offer holidaymakers. The cathedral is right in the heart of Valencia (VLC), just next the to Plaza de la Reina and the Plaza de la Virgen. The city's two large, wide sandy beaches with their bars and cafés are the perfect place for a relaxing day at the seaside. The La Lonja Silk Exchange is particularly worth seeing. It is located in an old building, which sometimes transforms into a space for concerts and other performances in the summer. Valencia (VLC) does of course have much to offer gourmands, such as traditional Spanish paella. Those who want to make the national dish themselves can take one of the city's many cookery classes.
