The Greek island of Kos (KGS) lies in the eastern Aegean. The third-largest of the Dodecanese islands, it has been a popular destination for visitors around the world for many years. The eponymous capital is the cultural heart where visitors will find some beautiful sights. As on all Greek islands, high temperatures prevail on Kos (KSG) in the summer. It's hottest in June, July and August at about 30 degrees. The winter is quite mild, however, with averages around 15 degrees. The surrounding region is great for day trips or sporting activities such as hiking or biking.
