Greece's second-largest city Thessaloniki (SKG) has been a very popular city break destination for many years. As in most Greek cities, it's very hot in Thessaloniki (SKG), especially from June to September, so October, November, April and May are better for travelling. If you're longing for some sand and sea, you'll have to drive a few miles. Chalkidiki is not far from Thessaloniki (SKG) and has a gorgeous beach. There is of course a lot on offer for revellers here, as not only the city itself but also the neighbouring towns boast a plethora of clubs and bars.
