Greece's second-largest city Thessaloniki (SKG) has been a very popular city break destination for many years. As in most Greek cities, it's very hot in Thessaloniki (SKG), especially from June to September, so October, November, April and May are better for travelling. If you're longing for some sand and sea, you'll have to drive a few miles. Chalkidiki is not far from Thessaloniki (SKG) and has a gorgeous beach. There is of course a lot on offer for revellers here, as not only the city itself but also the neighbouring towns boast a plethora of clubs and bars.
The city is home to some beautiful sights that every visitor should see. Book your Thessaloniki (SKG) flights and visit the medieval castle that towers over the city. If you make it to the top, you'll be rewarded with stunning views. If you want to discover the city on your own, you can simply set off on a tour of the city centre. The many narrow alleyways and streets can be confusing at first, but they lead to many shops and cafés, some of which are off the beaten tourist track.
If you're interested in art and culture, you'll also find some museums and exhibitions in Thessaloniki (SKG). Book your Thessaloniki (SKG) flights now and visit the Archaeological Museum, which exhibits some rare artefacts from various Greek eras. Other interesting museums include the Museum for the Macedonian Struggle, the Art Museum and the Ethnological Museum. An eventful day is best rounded off in one of the many little restaurants serving local cuisine.
