You have a lot to look forward to on your flight to Agadir in southern Morocco. The city is situated right on the Atlantic coast, with the Anti-Atlas mountain range providing a backdrop. You can also venture into the Sahara Desert starting right from Agadir. In 1960, Agadir was almost completely destroyed in a devastating earthquake. Only the old Casbah, a fortress above the city, survived the quake. Following the disaster the city was rebuilt and planned according to today’s standards.
