The Portuguese capital of Lisbon (LIS) is a popular city break destination for many holidaymakers. The cityscape has changed dramatically over its long history, as building work was undertaken in the 18th century that altered large parts of the city. Today, the Old Town in particular boasts numerous tiled façades and narrow, medieval streets. Some part of Lisbon (LIS) are now UNESCO World Heritage Sites, such as the Torre de Belém and the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos. A city tour will take visitors past many other attractions and historical monuments. The surrounding region also has some wonderful destinations in store.
