Mostar is the largest city in Herzegovina and is most well-known for its famous Stari Most bridge. This small bridge is the single crossing point between the Bosnian and Croatian sections of Mostar. Once destroyed, it underwent reconstruction in 2004. The bridge doesn’t just allow visitors look down 21 metres into the ravine of the Neretva river, it also offers a stunning view of Mostar’s historic city centre. The ‘Old Bridge’, the name’s translation, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005.
