We recommend checking in online, if you are only travelling with hand baggage or simply want to save time at the airport. You can use this free service as early as 72 hours before departure and reserve your desired seat directly.
Scheduling enough time for check-in and security checks to avoid unnecessary time pressure.
Planning an additional half hour for the walk from check-in to the boarding gate, especially if there is a high volume of passengers (e.g. at the start of a holiday), if you are dropping off special baggage or if you require special flight assistance.
Paying attention to monitor displays and airport announcements - these provide information on where check-in counters are located and inform about changes.
Checking the liquids in your hand baggage: The maximum amount of permitted liquids in hand baggage is 1000 ml/g (maximum 10 containers of 100 ml each in a resealable 1 litre bag).
Ways to check-in
Online check-in
How the web check-in works
This is how online check-in works at Eurowings
Online check-in is free of charge for all passengers.
As a general rule, you can use web and mobile check-in as early as 72 hours and as late as 3 hours prior to departure. At most German departure airports you can even check in as little as 40 minutes prior to departure.
A valid travel document is required for check-in. Depending on the destination, an ID card or passport must be shown.
A driver's license, for example, is not sufficient.
Our baggage kiosks at the airport
To make your trip as smooth as possible, you can check in your baggage yourself at our self-service baggage drop kiosks. Check out our FAQ to find out all you need to know about our baggage kiosks.
