What payment options are available at Eurowings?
Service is very important to us, so we offer a wide range of payment options. We ask for your understanding in the event that not all payment options are available to you.
You can pay via direct debit up to 5 days before departure as long as the following requirements are fulfilled:
- You hold a current account.
- Sufficient funds are available in your account.
Any charges incurred by cancelled payments or insufficient funds will be added to the flight price. In the event of a chargeback, please do not make any payments. We will contact you as soon as possible to discuss the next steps.
Direct debit arrangements may vary for flights booked with our partner airlines at eurowings.com.
You can also pay with your credit card as long as you are entitled to use it to pay over the phone or online. For more information on this, please contact your bank.
We accept the following credit cards:
- Debit MasterCard
- American Express
- VISA Card
- VISA Electron
- VISA Debit Card
- Diners Club
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to accept Eurocheque cards.
You can either authorise PayPal to transfer the payment amount to us, or you can authorise us to withdraw the relevant amount from your PayPal account.
Paying on invoice (RatePAY)
You can also pay for your flight and any charged additional services via RatePAY invoice if:
- You book online and the amount payable is at least €20 but no more than €2,000
- The flight price is given in euros
- Your billing and contact address is your personal address and is within the Federal Republic of Germany or Austria
- You have a positive credit check

If you fulfil these criteria and we have accepted your request to pay via RatePAY invoice, the invoice amount will be due on the tenth bank working day after booking, or at the latest on the last bank working day before departure. Payment must arrive in the receiving account by this date. Please only transfer the payment to the bank account specified on the invoice.
If you are unable to use this payment method, we can offer you an alternative payment option.
This payment method can only be used to pay for flight bookings.
You may only pay in cash if you book your ticket at one of our airport counters.
Paying for a booking with a voucher is quick and simple:
- In the "Payment" step of the online booking process, select the option to pay with a voucher.
- Enter your voucher code and then check the code entered and the travel services in your basket.
- Click on "Confirm booking" to complete your booking.
If the price of the flight exceeds the value of your voucher, you may pay the remaining amount either with another voucher or another payment method.
Vouchers may only be used to book Eurowings flight services and not partner offers (e.g. Rail&Fly, rental cars or hotels).
Vouchers may not be used to book flights with our partner airlines at eurowings.com. Our current partner airlines are Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Condor, United Airlines, Air Canada and All Nippon Airways.
